The Takeover"– Hip Hop…The way it used to be -- Alternative Radio

The HipHop Takeover is back but this time with a twist.


Starting Saturday, August 30th at 12 noon until Sunday, August 31st at 3:ooa.m. commercial free listener supported/sponsored WBAI 99.5 FM will be the "Politics" of HipHop, covering the elections true school style.


The 7th Edition of the HipHop TakeOver will be its first election edition, with music from some of New York and New Jersey's best DJ's and host, and interviews and commentary from HipHop's progressive elite, politicaly analyst, politicians, and many more.


N ote: You can check me out along with Jay Smooth From Midnight to 2:00a.m. the chat room is always popping (do they still say that).


We cater to both the gritty, underground, politically conscious audience, and also mainstream commercial crowd. We plan to give a full unbiased mix of True HipHop Radio that you will hear no place else throughout the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut region. This promises to be the new wave of free speech urban alternative radio. Radio driven by it's listeners.


My guests will include Tiye Phoenix, Ill Bill, Shape, GDP and G. Wallace.
